Animal play days – let's give ourselves a tail and create an animal trail

What you need 

• A length of fabric, like a piece of ribbon, a dressing gown tie, a piece of string or a belt  

What to do 

1. Offer your toddler the fabric (this is going to be their tail). 
2. Have one for yourself also. 
3. Hold your tail in your hand, then place it behind your back.  
4. Walk around with your tail swishing and trailing behind you.  
5. Invite your toddler to copy your movements and make up their own.
