How to make your own bath crayons
What you need
- Soap – white soap bars are best for colouring
- Cheese grater, or sharp knife and chopping board
- Microwavable bowl or pan
- Natural food coloring
- Silicone mold or ice cube tray
- Small bowls
What to do
- Either grate or very carefully chop your soap bar into small chunks.
- Pop the soap into a microwavable bowl and microwave the soap on high until it melts. Set your microwave for a minute. If it’s not completely melted, stir, and try again for 30 second increments.
- If you are using a pan, pop the soap into a pan, put on a low heat, and stir continually until it has melted.
- Divide the melted soap into small bowls – depending on how many colours of soap crayon you wish to make.
- Add a different food coloring to each bowl. Mix well.
- Pour the liquid soap into your mold and leave it to set.
- Use and enjoy!
